Contingent Plan For Damoh District 2019-20
Use of “Pusa Hydrogel” in rainfed condition.
In case of scarce rainfall in rabi season crops Linseed, Lentil, Mustard are grown.
System of rice intensification may be adopted to increase the yield per ha
Proper drainage in the field
Use of broad bed furrow and ridge & furrow for soybean, blackgram, greengram and pigeonpea
Use of Ammonium molybdate @1g/kg seed for pulse crops
Balanced fertilizer with S @25 kg/ha alongwith ZnSO4 once in 3 years
Use of blade harrow (Bakhar) for moisture conservation and destroy of weed in late onset of monsoon
Increase seed rate 25 % under late sowing condition .Sowing of crops against the slope in ridge and furrow methods
Selection of higher production potential varieties.
Seed treatment with mixture of Thiram (1.5g)+ Carbendazim (1.5g) /kg seed followed by treated with biofertilizers
Use of balanced fertilizer and biofertilizer according to recommendation to crop and application of zinc where deficiency is occurred.
Sowing of crops against the slope depends on crops in case of less rainfall while sowing along the slope in case of high rainfall conditions

Use of FYM and vermicompost at the time of sowing for increase of water holding capacity
Ridges are made after 15-20 lines of crops for the moisture conservation
Apply light irrigation to Kharif crops for proper grain filling if required, this will helpful in field preparation for Rabi crops
Irrigation at the critical stages only through sprinkler
Spray of hormones & anti transparent (Keoline 6%) during dry conditions
Fruit crops like bael, ber, aonla should be taken alongwith field crops in arid conditions
In irrigated conditions vegetable crops like colocasia, onion, capsicum may be taken
Drip irrigation alongwith polymulch may be followed in fruit and vegetables to save the water
Poly house and net house may be prepared to take the off-season vegetables like tomato, capsicum, chilli and flowers like marigold, gaillardia etc.
Low cost poly tunnels system should be prepared in horticultural crops.
